Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) is a regional political party in Tamil Nadu and the union territory of Puducherry, founded on February 2, 2024, by the actor-turned-politician Vijay. The party evolved from Vijay's extensive network of fan clubs, which were initially organized for philanthropic and community service activities, before transitioning into a full-fledged political party aimed at contesting the 2026 state elections.

TVK adopts a left-of-center ideology embracing Ambedkarism, Periyarism, and Marxism, positioning itself against right-wing politics. The party opposes both the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the national level. Its platform emphasizes social justice, secularism, egalitarianism, the two-language policy, and fighting corruption.

The party held its first large political conference in October 2024, attended by over 800,000 people, with symbolic tributes to leaders like Periyar and Ambedkar. Vijay serves as the party's president, with N. Anand as general secretary and K.G. Arunraj handling propaganda and policy development. TVK is focused on grassroots expansion, aiming to establish a strong booth-level presence ahead of the 2026 elections.

Vijay has articulated a vision of clean, accountable governance prioritizing the welfare of marginalized groups, women, youth, farmers, laborers, and fisherfolk. TVK's political messaging frames the BJP as its ideological enemy and the DMK as its political adversary, critiquing both for divisive and dynastic politics.

TVK's emergence has gained significant youth support and has pressured traditional Dravidian parties to rejuvenate their base ahead of upcoming elections.
